Prospective Students

Why choose Saint Luke Lutheran School?

Welcome to Saint Luke Lutheran School. Saint Luke Lutheran School was established in the late 1800’s, as a precursor to the ministry of Saint Luke Lutheran Church. The purpose of Saint Luke Lutheran School is to help each child reach his/her potential physically, spiritually, socially, mentally, academically, and emotionally in a Christ-centered environment.

We are a Family,

One of the main reasons our school is unique is that we are small enough that every student becomes an integral part of the Saint Luke family. Each student is important and a gift from God. Our small class sizes ensure that no child is overlooked or left behind, as we nurture relationships among our students, teachers, staff, and parents.

We are academic,

Our academic curriculum is enhanced by specialty teachers in music, band, technology, and art. We also offer after-school sports and clubs. With the addition of a new science curriculum, and one-to-one technology Saint Luke continues to offer a rigorous Christian education that prepares them for success in their future academic career. For standardized testing we use MAP and our students scored above the national norm.

We are part of a community,

Saint Luke Lutheran School is part of the Itasca community. We actively participate in community events, service projects, and a variety of opportunities to be witnesses of His Word. Students from Itasca, Addison, Bensenville, Wood Dale, Roselle, Elk Grove, Medinah and Schaumburg travel to Saint Luke to receive a rigorous Christian education that prepares them for success in their future academic career.

Saint Luke Lutheran School has National Lutheran School Accreditation and State of Illinois Recognition. The faculty is composed of highly qualified and experienced professional educators. Our students consistently score above the national average on standardized tests.

Saint Luke Lutheran School admits students of any race, gender, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, athletic and other school-administered programs.
